Hungary has developed a competitive, effective and high quality higher education system in the almost all of its educational institutions. They offer quality services in the field of education, research, as well as third mission for both the society and the economy.

  • The aim of the government is to increase the number of international students from 25,000 to 40,000 by 2021.
  • Practical oriented bachelor programs: They offer programs where students can attend and industrial orientation in for of industrial training for around 22 to 24 week. This is a regular employment contract, during which students receive a stipend. The money earned is equal to most of the expense for their studies.
  • Community-based higher education study centers in rural regions: These centers are to be established in rural regions which offer no higher education. They provide only the essential infrastructure to accommodate programs of established higher educational institutions.
  • Institutional governance: A five-member body (three members appointed by the minister of higher education, the rector and chancellor of the Uni/College) sets long-term strategic goals for the Uni/College, including adopting the medium-term institutional development plan and the annual budget program.
  • The foreign language programs are of high standard and tuition fees are very favorable. The range of study fields students can choose from is wide range of programs.

Entry requirements for Universities in Hungary

For admission to a university or college course in Hungary, students must meet certain entry requirements. These consist mainly of a high school diploma or bachelor degree (for a master program), proof of language proficiency and entrance exam.
